Speaker Bio- Melanie Welsch

Melanie Welsch gets right to the heart of the matter and isn't afraid to challenge with the Truth. Melanie moves past the instant sugar-high, momentary motivation that dissipates in a just a few short days or weeks.  Logically packed full of practical information, real life tips and techniques, Melanie's presentations provide lasting, sustainable energy for her audience. She not only inspires an audience to take action but actually gives them blueprints for success.

With a an undergraduate degree in English and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Melanie taught at the high school level for four years and at the college for three years. She is now the Education Director for the Life Educational Corporation.  In addition to this, Melanie has been a speaker for Arizona Right to Life and started “The Underground Project” (www.theundergroundproject.com), a pro-life organization that plans events to help both teens and young adults become actively involved in the Pro-life Movement.  She has spoken to thousands of young people on behalf of many churches, schools and organizations.  She has also been trained in the program called “Making Abortion Unthinkable”.  More recently Melanie spoke at The National Family Conference in California, the University of Missouri and at The Diocese of Phoenix Pro-Life Youth Rally.  In 2005, she was the keynote speaker at The Arizona March for Life.  In addition, she presented at “Chastity Day 2004” hosted by the Archdiocese of Washington D.C.  During the summers she travels the country speaking at Steubenville University youth conferences. 

Melanie also created a clothing line called "Refuge Clothing Co." (www.refugeclothing.com) as a means to provide young people with an opportunity to look both attractive, and also send positive messages with their clothing.
