Flyer Suggestions

Types of flyers:

Quarter page - less costly, but requires more work and time because you have to get them sliced into quarter sheets. This is the best option for Factsheets. See: Fact sheet Flyers under Campus Events.

Half sheet - less costly to use and good enough to use as flyers to hand out.

Full page - best to use when posting flyers around campus.

Brochures - use when you want to convey a fair amount of information to others.

For templates on any of the above, email us at: Info@TheUndergroundProject.com

You can use Word or Publisher templates to create these flyers.

Other suggestions:

• Download different font styles for free at sites like: www.dafont.com. But remember to print on whichever computer you download the font because if you try to print it off a different computer, you may lose the font type if that computer doesn't have it.
• Learn from other clubs or businesses that have caught your attention. Notice how they advertise & see if you can incorporate some of these ideas in your advertising.
• Try using catchy headings or something thought-provoking or funny.
• Make sure vital information such as date, time, and location are easy to find. You can highlight, circle, or bold this information to make it stand out more.
• Print on color sheets if you do black and white flyers to help attract attention.
• Be creative and try to make flyers different sizes or even shapes.
• Have members carry around extra flyers, so they can post more up as soon as they are pulled down. Campus facilities will usually clear out advertising bulletin boards when they get too cluttered, so make sure you're always ready with more!
• Always have flyers at every event and every time you table to help spread the word. Members should even carry some to class in case they get a chance to talk to someone about the event who shows interest.

Location suggestions:

• Bulletin boards
• Glass cases
• By/on classroom doors
• Hallways
• Bathroom stalls
• Water fountains
• Chairs
• Dining halls
• Study room tables
• Don't forget to post virtually as well…on Facebook and/or on other sites.

~ Before posting up more flyers to replace those that have been taken down, make sure that you are allowed to be posting in that area. ~
